2018 Honda Ridgeline

Introducing the 2018 Honda Ridgeline

When Honda set out to build a mid-sized truck, they didn't want to take the traditional route like other manufacturers; they wanted to make something different, something better. With the 2018 Ridgeline, they have succeeded. The Ridgeline provides an incredible ride, class-leading interior volume for your passengers and gear, and the performance you need for your next job or adventure. It also has some innovative features that you will not find on competitor's trucks.

Providing a Superior Driving Experience

From off-road adventures to downtown shopping trips, the Honda Ridgeline is capable to do whatever you have planned. The four-door crew cab, with room for five people, provides the most passenger room in its class. The 60/40 folding rear seats and flat cab floor also creates an abundance of room to carry large items inside the cab.

Unlike conventional body-on-frame trucks produced by other manufacturers, the Ridgeline uses a unibody design. This means the body panels and chassis are a single molded unit which is comprised of different strength of steel. This superior design creates an extremely rigid structure and it is lighter weight for better fuel efficiency. Paired with the Ridgeline's sophisticated multi-link suspension and you have a truck with incredible ride quality, whether you're on or off-road.

With 280 horsepower and 260 ft-lb of torque, the Ridgeline's powerful 3.5-liter, i-VTEC V-6 engine delivers quick acceleration and plenty of towing capability. A combination of its aerodynamic exterior and the lighter-weight unibody design help the truck achieve 26 MPG Highway with the 2WD models, 25 MPG Highway with available AWD.*

An Advanced Cargo Bed

The Ridgeline's bed is designed with minimal wheel well housings to maximize hauling capacity. This makes the Ridgeline the only truck in its class that can haul four by eight sheets of material flat on its floor with the tailgate down. The bed is scratch & dent resistant and has eight 350-pound tie down cleats, enough to secure any load. If you are looking to haul even more, the available All Wheel Drive models are rated for a 5,000 lbs towing capacity. Two Wheel Drive models are rated for a 3,500 lbs towing capacity.

Its cargo bed has many innovative features that you won't find with its competitors. A dual-action tailgate can be used like a conventional tailgate, or it can be opened like a door to make it much easier to reach further into the bed for items. There is a locking trunk built into the bed floor which provides an extra 7.3 cubic feet of secure storage. The bed trunk includes a drain so you can use it as a cooler while tailgating at the game or wash it out if it gets dirty. The Ridgeline even offers an available Truck-Bed Audio System. The system uses six exciters to produce sound in the bed and it can be operated by your Bluetooth phone.

Not only is the Ridgeline's cab the most spacious and comfortable in its class, but there is a plethora of available features that will make your drive more enjoyable. Keeping You Safe

Honda goes above and beyond to protect you and your passengers. Not only is the Ridgeline designed to achieve top ratings from NHTSA and IIHS, but it is also available with Honda Sensing, to help prevent you from being in an accident in the first place. Honda Sensing provides a suite of intelligent driver assistance features and safety systems as extra protection for you and your passengers. Some of the key features include:
  • Collision Mitigation Braking System - Provides assistance in braking the Ridgeline when an otherwise unavoidable collision with another vehicle is detected in front of you.
  • Road Departure Mitigation System - A small camera that senses road markers alerts you if you are about to leave the road, and it can take action to help prevent you from doing so.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow - helps to maintain a set following distance on the highway so you don't need to manually adjust your speed if the vehicle ahead of you slows.
  • Lane-Keeping Assist System - Adjusts the steering to bring you back into the center of your lane if it detects that you are drifting out of your lane without signaling.
  • Honda Lane Watch - live video of the passenger-side roadway will come up on the infotainment screen to show you what may be lurking in your blind spot
  • Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor - uses sensors to alert you when approaching vehicles are detected, providing you with extra security when changing lanes.
