2018 Honda Pilot

Introducing the 2018 Honda Pilot

You will be amazed at how much you can do with the 2018 Honda Pilot. With available All Wheel Drive, room for eight passengers, and a cavernous amount of cargo room, the Pilot can do or haul whatever you need. The true beauty of the Pilot is its ability to provide you with everything you need, while also providing comfort and functionality that can't be beat.

Bold, Sleek Style

Looking at the exterior of the Pilot, you will first notice its sleek, flowing design. The Pilot has a bold grill and offers LED Daytime Running Lights.  Its signature headlights are also LED in the EX and above trims.

Functionality at Its Finest

As you climb into the cabin, you'll notice that space is abundant.  There are three rows of seating with plenty of room, even for adults, in every row. You and your passengers will enjoy getting to your destination thanks to the upscale amenities and creature comforts available including:
  • Tri-Zone Climate Control to keep you and your passengers at just the right temperature
  • Heated Seats and Steering Wheel
  • One-Touch 2nd-row seats - automatically tilt and slide forward for access to 3rd row seating with just the push of a button
  • Rear Entertainment System - featuring DVD and Blu-ray Disc capability
  • Panoramic roof
  • Integrated Sunshades for the rear windows
With its versatile interior, the Pilot is capable of hauling what you need. The cargo area behind the 3rd row of seats has 16.5 cubic feet of storage. By folding the 3rd row, it increases storage space to 46.8 cubic feet, and if you fold both rows of rear seating, you have a massive storage area of 83.9 cubic feet.

Smart Handling and Capability

The Pilot is propelled by the 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine with 280 horsepower and 262 ft-lb of torque, giving it plenty of power. Even with that much power, the Pilot is capable of 27 MPG on the highway*. Two-wheel-drive is standard, and an Intelligent Variable Torque Management AWD system is available. Intelligent Traction Management is also available, which lets you select the terrain type you are traveling on and adjust the vehicle's handling accordingly.

Keeping You Safe

Honda goes above and beyond to protect you and your passengers. Not only is the Pilot designed to achieve top ratings from NHTSA and IIHS, but it is also available with Honda Sensing, to help prevent you from being in an accident in the first place. Honda Sensing provides a suite of intelligent driver assistance features and safety systems as extra protection for you and your passengers. Some of the key features include:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System - Provides assistance in braking the vehicle when an otherwise unavoidable collision with another vehicle is detected in front of you.
  • Road Departure Mitigation System - A small camera that senses road markers alerts you if you are about to leave the road, and it can take action to help prevent you from doing so.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow - Helps to maintain a set following distance on the highway, so you don't need to manually adjust your speed if the vehicle ahead of you slows.
  • Lane Keeping Assist System - Adjusts the steering to bring you back into the center of your lane if it detects that you are drifting out of your lane without signaling.
  • Honda Lane Watch - Live video of the passenger-side roadway will come up on the infotainment screen to show you what may be lurking in your blind spot.
  • Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor - Uses sensors to alert you when approaching vehicles are detected, providing you with extra security when changing lanes.
Not only are you able to load the Honda Pilot with people and gear, but you are able to get it to your destination comfortably, enjoyably, and safely. If you want to see what the buzz about the Pilot is all about, stop into Darling's Honda today!
